On behalf of our client, Ferdinand Bilstein, we are looking for an experienced and proactive professional to fill in the following position: Senior Accountant.
As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of comprehensive accounting activities and ensure compliance with local and international accounting and tax regulations. You will work closely with global finance teams (FSN) and leverage SAP S/4HANA to optimize processes. This role offers a clear perspective to progress into a team leadership position.
Accounting & Financial Closing
Overall responsibility for financial accounting activities
Preparation and coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Preparation of financial reports and management analyses
Ensure accurate general ledger accounting, accruals, and provisions
Tax & Compliance
Manage tax compliance, including VAT and corporate tax
Ensure adherence to local and international accounting regulations
Coordinate internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Intercompany & Group Reporting
Perform intercompany reconciliations
Ensure accurate and timely group reporting
Collaborate with Group Finance and external advisors on complex accounting topics
SAP S/4HANA & Process Optimization
Optimize accounting processes using SAP S/4HANA
Support digitalization and automation initiatives within the finance department
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and SAP module implementations
Controlling & Treasury Support
Conduct budget variance analyses and provide insights to management
Support treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting
Leadership & Team Development (Future Scope)
Provide functional guidance and support to junior accounting staff
Ensure knowledge transfer and quality standards within the team
Prepare for the assumption of disciplinary and people management responsibility
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international environment
Strong proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and MS Office
Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
